31 Weeks / Appointment Info / Etc.

Work Related - Someone came into work to turn in a resume for the job I'm currently doing...praying the training will go well with whomever they choose to hire. I do hope that I will still return part time after maternity leave - but we'll just have to see what happens. My boss today made a comment (can't remember word for word) but it made me think - OK that makes my future here seem uncertain. Which has been the case all along really. STOP WORRYING RIGHT?!?!!? =)

Appointment - Today I had my "30 week appointment". Baby's heartbeat was 136.
They also confirmed that my c-section will be Tuesday, March 26th at NOON. I asked them a couple questions about "natural c-section" but the nurse said that maybe I can check with the Dr. that is doing the c-section when I'm farther along to see if she'll do the "natural c-section". I will be having Dr. Wisebaker. I really wish I was having Dr. Federico but he'll be on vacation. I'll add a couple more details below but otherwise that was the jist of my appointment.

Today according to me I am 31 weeks pregnant. 63 days to go or 2 months 4 days until March 26th.

Our little gummy bear is now approximately the size of a bunch of asparagus. I don't really like that comparison - last week it was a large cabbage - a bunch of asparagus seems a lot smaller than a large cabbage. Approximately 16 inches and weighs about 3.3 lbs.

THEME:
Girl: Teal with anything Detroit Lions or the animal Lion
Boy: Blue with anything Detroit Lions or the animal Lion
(Abby is purple, Jasmine is pink)

I can tell everyone thinks we're having a boy.

Total weight loss/ gain? Total 35lbs. YUCK.  The nurse I had today is extremely nice but she's like ya I saw your for your yearly appointment last year and you were down in weight quite a bit. YUP that was my lowest weight after WW & Medical Weight Loss. I had been a PIG!!  SO!! Totally my fault but I really need to watch it. I did not want to be at 35 lbs. She said they don't want me to diet but I do need to watch it more than I am.

"Feeling fat lasts nine months but the joy of becoming a mom lasts forever". ~Attributed to Nikki Dalton

Maternity clothes?I have 2 pairs of jeans, one nursing bra, & one sleep bra. Getting trickier to find shirts that won't be too short. I have 1 maternity shirt but it's a touch baggy yet. Panties are starting to get a little snug.

Sleep? I sleep better when I nap. I feel lots of movement when I'm laying in bed so if I'm awake feeling movement - it's all worth it.

Best moment this week? Finding out the c-section date.

Movement? I still feel movement very low and I feel the movement most at night time. There have a been a couple jabs and belly shakes - but I'm still waiting for that tidal wave effect. Must just be all my fat in the way that the baby isn't strong enough yet to move my fat!

Food cravings? Orange juice.

Food aversions? Veggies, Plain Chicken

Gender? Josh and I know. The world will find out on March 26th.

What I am looking forward to? My next appointment Feb 4th. EVERY TWO WEEKS now! YAY!!

Labor signs? Thankfully none. - Nurse said today that in one of my ultrasounds it showed my uterus was at a good length or something so I didn't have any risk of pre-term labor. YAY!

Belly button in or out? I have always written that it will be in for the whole pregnancy - which it will be but I'm starting to feel these wierd bumps inside. Hmmm?

Milestones? 9 Weeks to GO!! HURRY UP MARCH 26th!!

Dr. Federico, is not very nice when it comes to a more natural c-section... He almost killed my cousin and her baby.
