Kinda crazy how my mood can change so quickly. Is that a women thing? Woman? Which one is correct there? One minute I feel like I'm on top of the world, the next I feel like I want to crawl into a hole and stay there forever. CUHRAZY! Maybe it's just me?
Either way my mind never stops it seems like. Today is the perfect example. I've felt extremely busy which is some ways is a good thing and (who doesn't feel busy?) BUT I had so much going through my mind today that I completely forgot to do one of my favorite things! Walk with Shannon. She only walks so that I can walk and thankfully she picks up her kids from school the same time I do so her drive to the middle school wasn't a complete waste of a trip but what a total waste of an hour for her when I didn't show up. Felt HORRIBLE! I even had texted her about it early today and still forgot.
I'll get into my update at the end.
Josh = He is doing great with his diet. He's tracking his food and today he just signed up at a gym in Sparta to start working out. He lost 7lbs since last month. Awesome! Right! =) So proud of him. He bought a new shirt and pants for working out. I whistled...he looked pretty hot. It's ok! Be jealous! Hahahahaha. I'm so excited to see where he'll be by his next month appointment. I told him if he gets to his goal weight maybe he can buy a gun that he's been dreaming of. (I feel bad because he used to have one but we sold it). Work is still going great for him! I love you infinity my Joshie. ;)
Abby = I can't remember if I did a conference update? I don't really want to go to last months blog so if this is a repeat, sorry. Her conference went great. I feel bad though because I feel like I don't spend enough time with her reading and doing her homework. She's been going downstairs to do homework which is great because it's a fun time for her to be with Grammy or Pa but I really need to and want to be more involved with her school work and reading. I keep wanting to set up a routine and by the time we start it seems like something happens and we have to start all over again. I'd like it to be come home take a break, do homework with Grammy / Pa at 4:30 to at the latest 5:30 and then come up stairs eat dinner depending on what time Josh gets home and then bath, read, bed by 8:30 at the latest. Hasn't happened consistently. =( She finished basketball camp. She got a very special American Girl doll from Shannon named Nellie and she LOVES it! Everyday she comes home and dresses it or does something with it. I'm excited that we're now using the cradle my dad hand made to use it for an American Girl doll bed because I really didn't want it sitting in storage. Any chance she gets she wants to go downstairs. Also she still loves anything that involves music and I love it when she sings along to WCSG. She has a beautiful voice. I love you infinity my Abby Lee.
Jasmine = Jasmine's conferences also went great. Her teacher said that sometimes if you tell her something she may not understand but then the 2nd time you tell her she remembers and never forgets it. That made us laugh because she's right. She doesn't forget anything! Same with Abby, I really want to try and be more involved with all her school work. Plus just involved more in general. Technology is the biggest distraction. It seems like most nights we're all separated because Josh wants to watch a show on our TV and then they want to watch their shows on their TV. My dream would be NO TV. I'm also guilty of using my phone to much. Yes I do a lot for my cleaning on it so I do need it BUT I also need to make a rule for myself that I should turn it off at night until the girls are in bed or something so I can focus all my time at home just being with them. She also likes to dress her AG Doll and still hopes every week that her friend will be at Awana. I always feel like her update is just a copy cat of Abby's but they are together a lot and do a lot of the same things. She also likes to sing. Their favorite song they sing and play over and over and over and over and over is the Let it go song from the movie Frozen. I'm surprised I haven't memorized the words. Jasmine is playing it as I type. ;) I love you infinity my Jasmine Charlee.
Josie = JOSIE IS SLEEPING IN HER CRIB. Plus she's going to be 1 on the 26th.
SHE'S GOING TO BE 1 ON THE 26TH. You did read that correctly. The night we finally said OK! We're just letting her cry it out in her crib because she HAS to start sleeping in there she did great! Wish we would have tried a lot sooner. We did try certain nights but just not consistently. She was waking up every 2 hours though in our bedroom or in our bed and I was exhausted. Anytime awake with her is worth it but at her age there was really no need for her to be nursing every 2 hours. Now I nurse her once before bed and if she wakes up during the night I only feed her once. One night she's slept the entire night otherwise she gets up around midnight or 1am and I feed her and then she goes back to sleep the rest of the night. If I'm home with her she might nurse also BUT most days she nurses 3 times that's it. I don't think she'll be done nursing by the time she turns 1 but I'll probably wean her down to once before bed and that's it or just the one time if she wakes up. Last night I was gone to a late night meeting and she fell asleep without me so I'm sure she's capable of doing that every night. I would like to be done nursing by the times she's 2 but I'm sure once she starts walking and taking cups better it'll be way before she turns 2. So thankful she's never had formula. Really didn't want to pay for that. She smacks her lips when she eats, she still smiles all the time, she's a smart little stinker! We always say Jasmine and Josie both have stinker in them but their stinker is completely different. Kinda funny. She loves her big sissies and they are great helpers. She has 9 teeth now because she just got a molar. I think she's working on another one. We're excited to celebrate her 1st birthday on March 22nd!
Me = Lots of things I want to mention.
1. We finally got our tax refund and thankfully we were able to pay off my van. (what a relief)
2. We also purchased a brand new memory foam mattress with box spring, frame, and new pillows. Yes we could have used that money towards other bills BUT we were sleeping on a 20+ year old mattress on the floor. It was time to get a new bed. Plus it's a good investment in my opinion so we went for it.
3. I decided to become a Norwex Consultant with my sister. Josh is not happy about this but I'm hoping if it goes well that he'll change his mind. If you're not familiar with Norwex you can get more information at www.norwex.biz but Norwex has products for cleaning and personal care. I've used the products while cleaning and I fell in love with them. In my opinion they are awesome and amazing. I'm so passionate about the products that I just want everyone to know about them. I never thought I would become a consultant because I don't like the direct sales / pressure / party / ladder effect type marketing stuff but in February they had a special where if you paid $8.00 shipping you got free product. No gimmicks no fine print just free product and you were a consultant. Plus then get a discount if you place an order because you're a consultant. I wanted the free product to use while cleaning because my skin is so sensitive and some of the products I was using made me cough among other things and these products do not harm me one bit. If I do have parties or sales then it will help me get more free product so I'm hoping that I will have some parties or sales. I just thought that if there is any way to help me with and in my cleaning business why not give it a try. I'd love to explain all the products right here just so you understand but if you're interested let me know and I can get you more info. One thing I did want to share though is that I used what they call a Spirinett one several sinks and it completely took away lime / rust / hard water stains etc with just using water. I was almost in tears. No other products I've tried even touched it. Plus these products are great if you have allergies/ etc because you just use water. I can also do one on one demo's if you want me to come use the products at your house to show you how they work! I cleaned at my moms today and I'll be calling her later because I was so excited on how the products worked at her house.
That was part of the reason I forgot to go walk. I got carried away cleaning and got so excited that I lost track of time and forgot to leave. Fun while cleaning - seriously!! You would have fun too. Trust me. My sister and I thought if we did it together then she'd be the party type person and I'd have the experience and knowledge from using the products. She is also cleaning at a business with me and I'm kind of hoping she can clean with me more often sometimes so that will allow me to have more cleaning or less time while cleaning.
4. Some days we worry if we made the right decision to move. Why? I don't know. This is one of those topics where the day before I was on top of the world and then I sometimes get in the Satan has a hold of me times and think stupid thoughts like this. Decisions drive me nuts.
5. I'm down 27.2 lbs since September
6. I'm getting more homes to clean. Next week I have to clean 7. Really hoping all goes well. Some days I'll be cleaning from 8-4 or longer and that's a long day. I love what I do but it's still a long day.
Prayer requests....
Pray that Jerry my father in law finds a job. (Unfortunately he lost his job because his work didn't want to pay for insurance for full time employees) Stupid Obama.
Pray that my cleaning will continue to go well and that possible Norwex will be ok and Josh will be ok with it too.
I think I'll stop there. I'm all blogged out except I've still got tons on my mind.
Thanks for reading!
Much love to all.

February 2014 Update
It's the 11th! Time for an update!
Josh: Super excited for Josh. He's decided to start the process of getting weight loss surgery! This will be expensive but we're willing to pay any amount necessary. His new insurance requires that he does a 6 month diet & exercise program before he can have the surgery. While we were thinking he'd be able to just have the surgery right away I actually like that he has to do the 6 months ahead of time first. This way he has some time to change some eating / exercise habits and loose weight before the surgery. I feel like if he just jumped right into the surgery it'd be like going from eating a whole pizza one day and then only being able to eat 2 oz. of food the next. The whole process is a big life changing process. Total mind game. We're excited to see his progress. I know he'll do great. He'll need all the encouragement and help possible. His first appointment was today. He was weighed and measured, they checked his blood pressure and did an EKG. I'm hoping to go to all of his appointments because I want to be able to help him as much as possible. Today it felt kind of funny to sit and watch him during his appointment because usually he's the one that is sitting and watching me at my appointments. We had waited extra long before his appointment and come to find out the computers didn't register correctly that he was there so BONUS - we got a $20 gift card for the "pre-surgery food store" (He'll have to have their food for 2 weeks prior to the surgery). That will help a lot with the cost of their food!
His appointment went really well! He was actually down 14lbs since we did Medical Weight Loss. His next appointment is next Wed the 19th and that will be with a dietician and exercise physiologist.
His job schedule will work around his appointments and surgery. He'll go each month for the next 6 months and show his food journal and then once that is submitted to his insurance we're thinking his surgery would be at the end of September. Please pray that this process will go well for him. I love you infinity Josh and I'm proud of you for taking the next step to be a healthy daddy for our beautiful girlies. I know God's got a great plan for him!
Abby: Abby has missed 2 days of school this week. She's had a really bad cough and actually missed part of last Friday as well. Friday she had a temp of 99.1 which isn't the 100 they call home for but is higher for her. He went back up a little last night and so to spare the kids and her teacher hearing her cough all day long we kept her home. She'll be going tomorrow with a water bottle. She has done 3 weeks of basketball camp and has one more week to go. She really enjoy basketball. Last year she cried because she didn't want to do crab walks and this year it's like she's a pro ;). She is still a wonderful big sister and helps a ton with Josie. Her conferences are coming up soon so we'll get to check her progress at school at that point. We did get her report card and all was well on their. One thing she needs to work on is just getting her work done in class. I think she tends to pay attention to her surroundings and friends and ends up not finishing her work. Since we're trying to be healthy and exercise as a family I love that the girls are even becoming more active and they ask me to exercise with them. One thing though is that for example the other day she put on a shirt she hasn't worn in a while and since then has gotten taller. So she says to me "Mom, look how much weight I've lost with this shirt!" I know weight has been the talk around here but I really hope that it doesn't "affect her". I just don't want her to be self conscious like her MOM! The girls go to Awana on Wednesday nights at Church and Abby was excited that she's now on her last book. She's been reading her verses and she loves all the songs she learns. Love hearing her sing. She's pretty independent and is getting too old too fast ;). I love you infinity my Abby Lee.
Jasmine: Jasmine hasn't been sick lately so hopefully whatever Abby has doesn't get her. She is anxious to be in flag football and t-ball when it's time because of Abby being in basketball. We will also find out her progress at school at her conference in Feb. They go to American Girl doll club on Monday's after school and she loves that. They do a craft and hang out and talk about their dolls. She has been reading her verses and enjoys singing as well. So sweet to hear my girlies sing about Jesus. Especially when they remember songs from the radio. One awesome thing about Awana that I have to mention is that the other night it was ask a friend to Awana night. She asked her best friend Cailynn. Now Cailynn wants to continue going. She's super excited!! I told her "Jasmine, that is so awesome - you invited her and now she wants to go again. Plus just like you asked Jesus into your heart, maybe you will help lead her where she'll want to ask Jesus into her heart!" <3 Makes my heart happy. She is still got her little sass, is a big help with Josie too and is also getting too old too fast. ;) I love you infinity my Jasmine Charlee.
Josie: Josie is 10 months old now. (11 months on Feb 26) She crawls really fast and walks around furniture and will walk with walkers but isn't walking yet. One night we had friends over and she walked a short distance between our friend Bill to Josh. We all clapped and yelled! Bill says "What, is that like the first time she's walked?" LOL it was funny. So since then she hasn't walked on her own. She'll stand without support for a little while but that's it. She'll pretty much eat most foods but the only thing so far that she doesn't seem to care for is eggs. It also kind of depends on the texture of food. I'm still breastfeeding most of the time it's before 8am and after 5pm. If I'm home during the day I nurse her before her nap. She.is.still.getting.up.every.2.hours!!!! Most of the time I give in and nurse because it's the only thing that gets her to go back to sleep. We've tried oatmeal before bed among other things and that hasn't helped her sleep longer. While I'd love more sleep I'm just considering it a phase and eventually I'll miss it so I'm not really complaining too much. She has the funniest laugh and "talks" quite a bit. She seems to be independent unless I'm around then she wants me to pick her up - but then when I pick her up she doesn't sit still. I'm glad that when she she's everyone in our family she has no problem being with anyone. I guess she hasn't been around too many strangers but she doesn't seem phased or scared by new people. Overall she's doing great. Her (9) month appointment was postponed until the 24th so I'll post her update on FB. She's cuddly bug. I love you infinity my Josie Suh.
Me: I am really at a loss for the right words to explain how incredibly blessed I am that God has put an absolutely amazing friend in my life. I've only really gotten to know Shannon since November but I'm so thankful for her. Of course I've got my best friend (my husband Josh) and my best friend (my twin sister) - but this is different because she is not family. Although I consider her more of a family member than some family LOL. She has helped me with my weight loss, she is so encouraging, she listens, she lets me vent, she's trustworthy, she tells me things I need to hear! She pushes me, I could really go on and on. She takes time out of her busy day to walk with me so that I can walk (she runs). She is so sweet and we have very similar goals, we like the same things, go to the same church.
She has helped me (like) ME more. I'm still doing weight watchers and in just the past month I feel like I'm a whole new person. I've been tracking my food. I've been doing exercises that I've never done. Including 50 squats a day for almost a week. I also decided I really want to just weigh in once a month so that I focus on tracking and other things rather than the number on the scale. I told myself I was not going to weigh in except on the first of every month. Well the last time I weighed in was Feb 3 and I just couldn't wait. I'm down 6 lbs since then! Now I don't plan on checking again but I might. I know before though I'd weigh in twice in the same week and that's just crazy. I've been trying to walk everyday and I'm excited to be getting a bike/elliptical from a friend this week. I really want to work my butt off (literally). I sometimes think that the only way I'm going to loose 100lbs is if I have weight loss surgery as well but I'm tired of saying being so negative. This time I'm not stopping until I get to my goal. If I can get there without surgery then that's wonderful.
I'm still cleaning homes and hoping to add a couple more. If you know of someone give them my name. =) I love the families I clean for. I'm excited to see my progress when Josh is working on it as well. When we're all working on it together it's going to help me a lot. I know we can do this.
Thank you for your email address. If you'd like to reply I'd love it!
Thanks for reading. Much love to you all.
